This is the final posting on this blog.

At 10:00pm, we departed Heathrow Airport, London. British Airways Flight BA11 (Boeing 747) via Bombay, Singapore and Sydney.
Arrived in Melbourne at 9:00am on the 9th of August. Then TAA flight TN28 (Boeing 727) to Adelaide, arriving at 2:40pm.
That was a Thursday. I expect I was back to school on the following Monday.

Yesterday’s was the final entry in my diary. However we didn’t fly out until the 7th of August.
So the 6th was our last complete day in England.

We went to a pub called the Rose and Crown.

Stayed home all day. Dad and David went to Blackbushe.

London

Today we went to London. We drove to Kew Gardens and caught the tube to South Kensington.
From there we walked to the Natural History Museum. First we went to the bird section which was my favourite exhibition.
Next we saw the insects. Another of my favourite sections was the mammals. The ecology part was very interesting.

Camberley

Today we did a trial pack of our luggage. Dad, David and I went to Frimley.

Camberley

We stayed home all day. In the evening we all went into London. We went to a very big and posh restaurant – Simpson’s in the Strand.
The head waiters were all wearing bowties and tailcoats. I had tomato soup, ½ roast duckling and Simpson’s treacle roll.
All the food was very nice. My treacle roll was very rich and I ended up giving some to David.

We stayed home all day. Mum made summer pudding, icecream and jelly out of the fruit we picked.

Camberley

Today we went to our Auntie Peggy’s house near Emsworth. We had lunch there.
We left at about 2:00. We were going to go to an outdoor museum but it was closed.
We then decided to pick some fruit at a “pick your own” place. The fruit was blackcurrant and rasberry.
Dad picked blackcurrants and David and I picked rasberries. Mum helped us all.

Balcombe

This morning we went to Church in Balcombe. Afterwards we went to Robin’s again.
We had lunch there. In the afternoon we drove to the Jack & Jill windmills. They were on top of a hill.
We walked around up there. We then went back to Ann’s and went home to Camberley.
